Paul was so helpful and honest with his advice. Sorted out the EGR valve on my car and although it took longer than expected as it was in bad condition didn’t charge any extra. Would definitely recommend!

From the moment I first called Pearl, trying to find a garage who could fix an urgent issue, they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They fitted my car in the same day, clearly explained what was wrong, rang round to try and get the part urgently and for the cheapest price, and quickly and efficiently fitted it. They were very busy but still took the time to be friendly and put me at ease. It’s rare to find a garage with such genuine people, they’ll definitely be our first choice of mechanics in future.

So after having what could be best described as a run of bad luck with our cars, my wife's car's engine light came on, I was recommended by another local mechanic to go see the guys at Pearl Mechanical as we felt it might be a DPF issue. I rang Pearl and asked if I could get the car seen as soon as possible, they said they were full that day but could try and do it that morning if I could get it too them, it was very clear when I arrived that they were extremely busy to the point it was hard to even get into their yard, the mechanic then ran diagnostic's and did somethings on his computer and told me to drive for a short while to see if it was what he thought it was, I did this and true enough it was exactly what he thought it was and to my absolute delight the car was fixed! he then charged me almost nothing! In a time when in all honesty life was getting really difficult these guys showed that there are good people in this world, they didn't have to look at our car as it was clear that put them out and then to do it all for such little money was extremely kind of them, I can't recommend them highly enough. as my mum would say clearly a bunch of "Good eggs".

Have visited this garage a couple of times previously and was really impressed with the service and have recommended it to others, on this occasion I’ve been left extremely disappointed with the service. They had my car for three days which is fine I wouldn’t of expected to have the car back straight away, but what let them down was the lack of communication. Each time I called for an update i was told I’d get a call back, which I didn’t or if I did manage to speak to the mechanic he was extremely rude. They went ahead and did work on the car before notifying me (the work carried out didn’t fix the actual issue) so I had no choice but to pay the very steep bill, this was the major let down for me as a quick call wouldn’t have gone a miss. As they had the car for so long without the main issue being found/fixed I chose to collect the car in the end after receiving such awful service from them I wasn’t willing to wait any longer or continue to communicate with someone so rude. It’s a real shame as I really rated this place, but after this experience I won’t be returning.
