I took my Mercedes Benz E300 (20 plate) in to be serviced at this branch and I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed with the manner of how my vehicle was treated. Upon arrival, I left my brand new vehicle with a full tank of fuel and I when I returned there was a significant difference in my remaining petrol. I went to check my dash camera footage to work out how my fuel had gone so low, and I noticed that the camera had been deliberately turned off from the point of me dropping the car off and collecting. When I questioned the manager they said it was company policy to turn the camera off (although there is no mention of this on their website) and they "forgot" to turn it back on whilst they conducted a road test. When asking why the needed to even take my car out on the road the answer that I got was that they "needed to check for other faults". With any new Mercedes vehicle issues will appear on the dash board, and I have checked with other Halfords in the area and they confirmed a road test is not necessary given that they have only changed my oil! The manager was unsure of where my car had been driven and the distance it had been driven and the manner in which it was driven. All of which would have been clear if they did not turn off my dash camera. I lost over 20 miles of range during the time of my car being in the possession of this branch, and to which I believe my car was driven in an anti-social manner, which is totally unacceptable given the fact we are going through a national shortage of fuel and the price increase! This branch showed a complete disregard for my vehicle and I am yet to hear back from them. Put simply, if you care about your car and you require any service I would avoid this place! They will only abuse your vehicle and speed around in it, like they did mine!

Although on my last visit my bonnet was not close properly on this visit I had my brakes, disks and the caliper replaced. I was treated professionally and they were very helpful in arranging my return home me and although my brakes make as much if not more noise now once bedded in I feel safer knowing they have been sorted. Unfortunately the annoying squeaking was a wheel bearing witch I had done elsewhere.

Second time having a Major service on my BMW here. Fair to say they charge an arm and a leg, close enough to actual BMW. The level of service comes no where near to the standard you would expect for what you pay. All parts used are very cheap, mostly crossland I believe, which some cars don’t take to very well. For example, the oil filter that goes in my vehicle should come with a seal which prevents oil leakage. This auto-centre had the audacity to remove my genuine oil filter and seal and then replace it with one of these cheap filters with no seal and then have the cheek to tell me I have an oil leak. Duhh. Following weeks resulted in me constantly buying oil to top up levels and stressing out as to how serious problem is. Finally took it to a proper garage which steam cleaned the engine to find the oil leak. Upon investigation they advised me that a cheap oil filter had been used and that a seal was missing which should come with the filter. Now unless you go to dealers for an oil filter, MANN are the only other company who does exactly the same filter with the seal. As an operating auto-centre of Halfords Calibre, you should know this! Luckily filter and fitting only cost me £40 to resolve, however all the stress and oil top-ups I had to do for something that should never have happened in the first place is disappointing. I would avoid as all they do is offer a generic service not catering to specific vehicle needs.

Dealt with a great advisor who was very helpful. Only thing was the computer system said there was two Bosch wipers in the store but when we went to the shelf there was non.... This wasn't the assistants fault and in fact he was really helpful. Bought an own brand wiper and works great. Overall a happy customer experience.
