About Us

Steve Dark formed the Company S J Dark Ltd in 1979. Since then, S J Dark have provided the full range of electrical work from simple domestic wiring to industrial contract work. Our electricians are all time served, fully qualified and conversant with the latest requirements of electrical regulations.

During the housing boom of the early 1980’s the Company employed 25 people and worked on many large and prestigious sites throughout the South West. The Company also had two retail shops, one in Paignton and the other in Teignmouth. At this time the Company also purchased a warehouse and the building, which we know today as the
S J Dark Business Centre. This brings us to the present time. The Company has been based at the S J Dark Business Centre in Paignton for several years and personal callers are assured of a warm welcome.

Through all this the philosophy of the Company remains the same, with investment in the training and development of its people at the forefront of its activities.

terrible service, came to give us a quote and never actually emailed or sent us one like we asked. I had to ring and ring over a week to get in contact with them to ask about the quote. I booked them to fit a shower on my day off and organised my home accordingly for their visit. When they arrived the poor workmen had not been informed properly about the job in hand, they where not aware if the quote we had been given was in person or over the phone and they said due to work commitments that day they could not finish the job in hand as it was far more involved than they had been led to believe. Basically bad communication within a business! I also rang to try and rectify this before adding a bad review as it's the last thing I want to do to a local business but they where not accommodating! Very poor business etiquette!
