We specialise in repairs and servicing for Citroen, Peugeot, Renault VW/Audi, Skoda and Seat cars (Although we are more than happy and capable with dealing with any vehicle from an elderly mini to the latest HiTec cars).

About Us
Our team consists of five highly experienced engineers with over one hundred years of hands on experience between them! There is Dale (24 Years experience) Paul (27 Years) Dean (18 Years) Barry (38 Years) and Dean (10 Years) We offer a first class service and are always aware that you want a safe and reliable repair or service for your car at a fair price.
Roger Sullivan-Webb started Air Cooled Engineering on Horspath Industrial Estate in 1976 after leaving the then existing Salters Citroen dealership. Initially specialising in French and German vehicles he was accompanied by his friend Chris Burbidge who had worked in a VW/Audi franchise.
Customers began to realise that, rather than being just a source of income, they were actually being looked after by people who loved the mechanical side of the job and only advised to have the work that needed to be done. Because of this their customer base grew very quickly and Chris eventually started up his own garage Autotecnics.

Easy to book in, good communication if anything crops up with an MOT and I always feel I can come in for the small jobs too. Karl Judge5 StarThere are many places in Oxford where you can get your AC recharged but not many actually repair a system that has a fault or leak. My BMW lost all of its gas after a recharge 4 months prior and I needed a place that could competently diagnose the fault and repair it without overpricing or telling me this needs doing or that needs doing and it doesn't.
I was recommended to Air Cooled by an AC recharge place but I had already done some research on them and looked at reviews so I called to have my car booked in to get the issue resolved once and for all.
I spoke with Dale over the phone and they were ultra busy due to hot weather and sheer volume of cars coming in with AC issues pending the forecasted mid July heatwave however he did fit me in in a reasonable time.
Dale and his team diagnosed a leak in the condenser and informed me of the price to repair which I thought was very good so once I gave authorisation to go ahead and carry out the repair it was done very quickly, I was told it would be ready to collect early afternoon the next day. It was ready early morning the next day and the cost was a little cheaper than I was first quoted which made pleased me even more.
Dale was friendly and informative on collection and my car is now blowing out cold air when I need it and I could not be more happier with the service I received from Air Cooled.
I have already recommended Air Cooled to family and friends and I will certainly be back to them if I have any issues with my car in future and not just AC.Friday 22nd July 2022

Totally professional from booking it in to informing you you of any issues , text reminders of when car is ready and for mot and servicing . I use my car for my business being mobile hairdresser so I curtesy car is provided for me and my car is always returned promptly so it doesn’t effect my day !
